Three candidates from Bharatiya Janata Party were elected unopposed in the Arunachal Pradesh assembly elections. With the withdrawal on Thursday, these three candidates were declared victorious. Voting for the 60-member Assembly and 2 Lok Sabha seats in the state will be held on April 11. After three MLAs elected uncontested votes will now be cast for only 57 seats. BJP candidate K. Jinni wins from the AE East Assembly seat in the state after the nomination of his only rival and Congress candidate Minkir Lollen was found illegal on Tuesday. BJP candidate was elected unopposed on Yechuli assembly seat in the state.
Apart from this, BJP candidates from Deorang assembly constituency were declared elected by Furpa Tserer. From here the Congress and an independent candidate withdrew their name on Thursday. Now, in the state, 57 seats will get 191 candidates. Among them are BJP's 57, Congress 47, National People's Party 30, JDU 17, JDS 13 and AE India Party candidates are in the fray. There are 17 independent candidates in the state.
