Alzarri Joseph to S Kaul, out Caught by de Kock!! Sorry Sohail Tanvir, Joseph's knocked you out -- It's the BEST IPL figures by a bowler. EVER. And it's taken 12 years and a 22-year-old from Antigua to do it. Again, a Ripley's Believe-It-Or-Not fact, he's on debut. Hits the hard heavy back of a length just outside off, which Kaul sticks his bat out in a poke to - and the feather to the keeper will do. S Kaul c de Kock b Alzarri Joseph 0(1)

Alzarri Joseph to Bhuvneshwar, out Bowled!! WWWWW -- IPL debut you say! It's easier than an EA Sports Cricket '07 debut. He needed Malinga to return home, and he's perhaps even nudged him further into Sri Lanka here. So it was the same old usual stuff, full, on middle and Bhuvneshwar's tried funky scoop does him no good. Only uproots middle. Bhuvneshwar b Alzarri Joseph 2(6)

Bumrah bangs it in, continues cramping Nabi up for room, for height as he continues swinging desperately -- this time for the bat face to turn in his palms, get a big fat top-edge, as far as mid-off. Alzarri Joseph to Rashid Khan, out Caught&Bowled!! There's the virtual nail into Hyderabad's coffin. It's quick, it's bouncy and it's into Rashid's shoulder. Alzarri Joseph to Hooda, out Bowled!! It was a troubled stay, and the end is just as troubling. Joseph anticipates some more shuffling extravaganza here from Hooda and keeps it dead straight on middle. Hooda - this time - isn't as creative, sits down trying to slog it out over cow corner. But it's too quick. Too full. Under the bat and leaving a mess behind. Hooda b Alzarri Joseph 20(24) [4s-1]

In the back of a length zone just outside off, but Nabi's happy to open up his cards early - which are the same cards he's been trying to deal with all over - backing away and then generating enough power in this lofted tonk of sorts. It looked like he only had the height on first impression, but no, the legs are there, over long-off

Behrendorff to Bairstow, 1 run, Behrendorff corrects his length and goes full outside off, Bairstow drives it hard to the right of mid-off and picks up a single
PMS says: "Pollard was dropped on 8 and again on 36. Imagine what would have been the score of MI if Rashid had grabbed that catch. If anything goes negative, SRH should curse their fielding standards today."
0.5
Behrendorff to Bairstow, FOUR, crunched through cover. Shows the kind of form he's been in this tournament. Short and fraction width provided, enough for Bairstow to cash in. Getting on top of the bounce and slapping it in the gap
0.4
Behrendorff to Bairstow, no run, sliver of inward shape for Behrendorff on this length, rears up a touch and tucks Bairstow for room. Defended softly
0.3
Behrendorff to Bairstow, no run, goodish length and darting away just outside off, Bairstow stabs it off the middle and finds point

19.6
Bhuvneshwar to Pollard, FOUR, another blemish and it's a boundary. MI and Pollard will not mind this. Very full from Kumar, Pollard clubs it down the ground. Hooda misjudges it and charges in way too early, doesn't get his body behind the line of the ball and lets it through to the boundary
19.5
Bhuvneshwar to Pollard, SIX, dropped. Nabi palms it over for a maximum at deep square leg. Very sloppy, should've taken by his standards. Whipped across the line and went towards deep square leg, Nabi sprawls across and gets both hands on it, only to tip it over the ropes
19.4
Bhuvneshwar to Pollard, 2 runs, superb from Kumar. Another one into the blockhole, Pollard digs it out to long-on and sets off for the second. Direct-hit at the bowler's end could've had Joseph in trouble
19.3
Bhuvneshwar to Pollard, no run, yorker length, squeezed to long-off

S Kaul to Pollard, 1 run, now sensibly pushes this one away to long-off and keeps the strike for the final over
18.5
S Kaul to Pollard, no run, err.. Pollard will feel that he missed out here. Kaul goes wide and wafts a full toss much wider of off, Pollard throws his bat but can't reach for it
Ashish says: "This is the difference b/w MI and CSK. If CSK were playing on this pitch they would have rather looked for 140 instead of going really hard and ending up close to 100-110."
18.4
S Kaul to Pollard, SIX, takes full toll. Kaul again misses the yorker, offers a juicy full toss outside off and Pollard takes it on the full to smoke it over cow corner. 83-metre six, Pollard is on song here
18.4
S Kaul to Pollard, no ball, goes wide of the crease and angles it outside off, Pollard drives it to extra cover and doesn't take the single. Kaul has overstepped, oopsy. Free-hit coming up for Pollard
18.3
S Kaul to Pollard, SIX, low full toss and Pollard clouts it over cow corner. If you miss your length against Pollard, he will make you pay. Kaul misses his yorker by an inch or so, Pollard connects and launches it into the stands
18.2
S Kaul to Pollard, no run, nicely done. Hurls this one well wide and it spits away, eluding Pollard's bat swing
18.1
S Kaul to Pollard, SIX, oh jeez! What power from Pollard. For a second, thought he mistimed it as his bottom hand came off the handle but such is the power from the big man that he still manages to deposit this 10 rows back over long-off. It was another canny slower ball from Kaul, Pollard didn't pick it and threw everything at it and gets the desired result

Bhuvneshwar to Rahul Chahar, no run, Kumar slips in the leg-cutter and dupes Rahul, who wafts and misses
17.3
Bhuvneshwar to Rahul Chahar, FOUR, well, this is clever batting frm Rahul. He's too good with the dinks. Again picks the length delivery, gets deep in his crease and opens his bat face at the last minute to glide it past Bairtsow
Omstavan says: "I disagree. Mindless hitting on flat deck is far less entertaining than a team playing smartly on a difficult pitch. I would always prefer quality batting over power hitting!"
17.2
Bhuvneshwar to Pollard, 1 run, in the air and Rashid grasses it. Instantly puts his hand up and apologises. Another cutter, thrown outside off. Pollard flashes his bat and spanks it towards sweeper cover. Rashid runs across, covers good ground in getting towards the ball but unfortunately can't hold onto it as he slides. Bhuvneshwar is not happy

Rashid Khan to Rahul Chahar, no run, Rashid shortens his length and Rahul cautiously smothers it off the back foot
Jayashree Bibhu Raiguru says: I am a big Yuvraj fan but sad he ain't playing but MSD earlier made my day. MI's policy of taking it deep not working much here.
16.4
Rashid Khan to Rahul Chahar, FOUR, oh, this is nicely done by Rahul. He's no mug with the bat. Picks the googly, waits and waits before dabbing it past slip. Has enough legs to reach the fence
Rahul Chahar, right handed bat, comes to the crease

Rashid Khan to Hardik Pandya, out Caught by Shankar!! The case of Rashid winning the battle, it's not the first time and the arms go wide in celebration. Pandya is stunned but has to go. This could dent MI's prospects of posting a par total. Tosses it outside off and forces the batsman to fetch for it. Pandya goes on one-knee and clouts it across the line, airy and Vijay Shankar, manning the deep mid-wicket fence moves across and takes a smart catch. 15.4

Rashid Khan to Hardik Pandya, no run, jaffa! He is bamboozling the batsmen with his leg-breaks. Drifts in and Pandya thinks he can work it into the on-side, closes the bat face and the ball spins past the outside edge. It wasn't far from the off-stump either

Kishan pats it towards cover and sets off, Pollard doesn't move and the young man has to turn back, run and puts in the dive as well. By this time, Bairstow had disturbed the stumps with his pad before the throw came but he ensured he uprooted one of the stumps with the ball in his hand. Kishan's dive meant the bat popped up and he was caught short of the crease. If the stumps were not uprooted, Kishan would have survived this. Ishan Kishan run out (Shankar/Bairstow) 17(21) [4s-2]

Sandeep Sharma to Suryakumar Yadav, THAT'S OUT!! Lbw!!
Suryakumar Yadav has gone for a review here. Given out LBW after he missed a slower delivery while trying to slog sweep. Was he hit in line with the sticks? Seems to be a tight call. The impact for me is the key as the middle and leg sticks were visible. Hawkeye has the verdict as out as it is umpire's call on impact and hitting the sticks. Was an adventurous shot and Suryakumar Yadav missed it.

Nabi to Suryakumar Yadav, 1 run, waits for the turn and tucks it off the pads for a single to mid-wicket
3.5
Nabi to Suryakumar Yadav, no run, that angled away beautifully to beat the poke outside off. And then the keeper did the rest as the batsman overbalanced a bit on his back leg. But despite the back leg making some movement, it was firmly inside the crease and hence the call of not out
Suryakumar Yadav, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Another appeal. The square leg ump has gone upstairs for a stumping query. Angled the ball across from round the wicket and Surya missed the poke for the keeper to whip the bails off. Th back foot did go up for a millisecond but was back when Bairstow whipped the bails off. Not Out should be the call as the back foot was firmly on the ground. The third umpire is having a few looks at it and not out it is.
3.4
Nabi to Rohit, out Caught by Hooda!! Hangs the ball in the air by bowling it slower, Rohit fails to control the hack and holes out at deep mid. He inner-halved the stroke and never timed it. The ball was tossed up at 82.9kph and all the power in the shot had to be invested by the batter. That is where he lost his shape trying to hit it hard and the length also was dragged back. Huge wicket for SRH. Rohit c Hooda b Nabi 11(14) [6s-1]

Bhuvneshwar to Rohit, 1 run, and Kaul has dropped it. Lost it in the lights may be or might have been the swirling ball coming down. Eventful first over. Rohit danced out, looked to loft, got a big fat outer-edge and the man at deep third dropped it. The fielder did not even get a hand to it
0.5
Bhuvneshwar to Rohit, no run, angles the ball in, the ball strikes the inside edge and thuds into the pad. The bowler, keeper and almost the entire squad miss the inside edge and take a review. The UltraEdge makes it clear. Rohit survives
SRH have gone for a review. If there is no bat, this should be close. There was a deliberation between the bowler and the keeper before going up. Manish Pandey also mentioned to his skipper that there was no bat. But UltraEdge spots a spike and that should stand as Not Out. Review lost.
